An Intercessor’s Prayer
I ask to have Your Holy Spirit
Pour down on me like rain
Then put up my umbrella
To shield me from the pain.
The pain of intercession
That weighs heavy on my heart;
The moaning of my soul
When words from me depart.
Lord, help me to discard this shield
And surrender all to you
Clothed in Your full armor
Your love will see me through ...
Through this valley of intercession
Where Your Holy Spirit reigns,
Drawing me closer to You
As I pray through others' pain.
