A Yielding of the Heart

Humility is not an inborn trait,
It's a virtue that must be acquired,
By holy living and sacrifice,
… bending my will to God’s desire.

May my heart ever yield to You, Lord.
May I always be more than content,
Knowing I cannot do or achieve anything,
Without the One that You sent.

May all glory and honor be Yours, Lord,
For the praises directed to me.
Like a bouquet of gathered flowers,
May I lay them at your feet.

Transform my heart by Your Spirit.
And my soul will rejoice in my Savior.
May my life magnify only You, O Lord
And may I seek only Your favor.
