The Greatest Love of All

O Lord, the love that You have shown
It overflows to me;
Your love that flowed as crimson blood
That day at Calvary.
“Father please forgive them ...”
You spoke with ravaged breath.
O Lord, the love that You have shown,
‘Tis joy I can’t express.
That even while in sin I trod
Your precious love did flow;
Down Jesus’ face, ‘cross time and space
That one day I might know
The error of my sinful ways,
The emptiness inside;
A yearning only filled in knowing
Christ was crucified
To pay the price I could not pay,
To become one of your own.
‘Tis joy I can’t express O Lord
The love that You have shown!
